Authoria is a service operated by Saambaa LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Saambaa,” “Authoria,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Authoria website, create an account, purchase Authoria services, communicate with us, or interact with Authoria-powered content.

When you create an Authoria account, purchase services, or contact us, we may collect information such as:

  • Business address
  • Phone number
  • Website
  • Whether you are acting on behalf of an agency
  • Publishers and markets you select

  • Other information you voluntarily provide

We may also collect information necessary to create and maintain your Business Spotlight.

Publicly Available Business Information

Authoria may research publicly available information about businesses in order to prepare, verify, or update Business Spotlight content.

This may include information found on:

  • business websites;
  • public directories;
  • review platforms;
  • professional directories;
  • social profiles; and
  • other publicly available sources.

Payment Information

Payments may be processed by a third-party payment processor.

Authoria may receive limited transaction information, such as payment status, billing contact information, transaction amount, and payment method type. We generally do not receive or store complete credit-card numbers.

Website and Usage Information

When you visit an Authoria website or Authoria-powered page, we may automatically collect information such as:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device information;
  • referring URL;
  • pages viewed;
  • date and time of access;
  • approximate geographic location;
  • interactions with the website; and

Authoria-powered publisher pages will not contain additional advertising or remarketing pixels placed by Authoria unless such practices have been disclosed and approved by the applicable publisher.

  • provide and operate Authoria;
  • create and publish Business Spotlights;
  • manage advertiser accounts;
  • process transactions;
  • communicate with customers;
  • provide customer support;
  • recommend available publishers and markets;
  • measure AI crawler and search-engine activity;
  • analyze performance;
  • improve our services;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats;
  • enforce our Terms of Service; and
  • comply with applicable law.

Participating Publishers

We may provide information to participating publishers as necessary to create, review, publish, maintain, or remove a Business Spotlight.

Information intended for publication in a Business Spotlight will become publicly available.

Service Providers

We may use vendors that assist with functions such as:

  • hosting;
  • analytics;
  • security;
  • payment processing;
  • email;
  • customer support;
  • software infrastructure; and
  • business operations.

These providers may access information only as necessary to perform services for Authoria.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with law or legal process;
  • respond to lawful government requests;
  • enforce agreements;
  • investigate fraud or security incidents; or
  • protect the rights, property, or safety of Authoria, Saambaa, our customers, publishers, or others.

Authoria does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

Authoria does not use publisher audience data for cross-context behavioral advertising, retargeting, or unrelated marketing without the applicable publisher's approval.

Certain analytics or technology providers may process website information on our behalf as described in this Policy.

Where applicable law provides rights regarding the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, we will honor legally required requests and preference signals.

7. Business Spotlight Information

Business Spotlights are intended to be publicly available.

Information included in an approved Business Spotlight may therefore be:

  • viewed by the public;
  • indexed by search engines;
  • accessed by AI crawlers;
  • incorporated into search or AI systems; and
  • cached or archived by third parties.

Once information has been accessed or indexed by an independent third party, Authoria may not be able to control or remove copies maintained by that third party.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide Authoria services;
  • maintain business and transaction records;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • resolve disputes;
  • enforce agreements; and
  • protect against fraud and abuse.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.

However, no internet transmission, storage system, or security measure can guarantee absolute security.
